Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Vice President of Ghana

Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the Vice President of Ghana, delivered her first public speech amidst her battle with illnesses at the University of Ghana Medical Centre. In her address, she shared an Eid message with the Muslim community and expressed gratitude to the many Ghanaians for their well wishes.

An official message from the Presidency signed by the Minister for Government Communications, Mr. Ofosu Kwakye, cited by PlugginNews, indicated that the Vice President had been receiving medical attention at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) after falling ill on Friday, March 28, 2025.

In further statements, Mr Ofosu Kwakye indicated that she is expertly advised to seek further medical care overseas.

Conversely, Eric Adjei, former spokesperson for the Prof. Jane 2024 campaign, later updated and reassured Ghanaians that the Vice President was in good health.

Likewise, I would like to say thank you to everyone for the kind sentiments and well wishes this weekend”, she appreciated the Muslim community in her official communication.
